Fun for the whole family

In Oskarshamn you can find a lot of fun activities to do for the whole family. You can for example pet Pelle the pig at Fallebo farm, play in the sea or go on an adventure to one of our many playgrounds.

The themed playground

At the themed playground you can play on the pirate ship, splash with water, or ride on the cableway. Or why not try out one of the numerous slides? There is also room for you and your kid to drive the big car as well as climb on the pyramid. The ground is also safely covered with a rubber surface so that the children won´t get scrapes if a potential accident occurs. An oasis for young and old as we would like to call it! The playpark is always open and free of charge.

Adventure water park, Arena Oskarshamn

At the Adventure Water Park located at Arena Oskarshamn, you will find something for the whole family! The Water park offers two fast slides, one traditional 45 metre-long slide, and for the most daring person you will find one Space Bowl with a drop of 8 metres! In the children’s lagoon, young children can splash in a water landscape surrounded by animals spraying water. The beach and activity pool are separated by a bridge. One side is for fun and games with floating toys and the other one has a sloping bottom and is suitable for those who are less confident in the water. There is also a bubble sofa, a water cannon and a geyser.

Oskarshamn City Library

At the library everyone is welcome to read, play and develop themselves. You can find a cosy play corner, a range of games and occasional story times. The library also offers a small café and knowledgeable staff who are happy to help you regarding suggestions of books.

Sagabiografen Oskarshamn

Welcome to the newly renovated cinema complex with three auditoriums of different sizes! At the cinema you can purchase and enjoy from warm popcorn, hot snacks, sweets and a range of drink. It also offers films for all ages as well as an opportunity to be enchanted by the world of movies! Booster cushions for young children are available in all the auditoriums.

Gunnarsö

Apart from being able to swim in the sea, Gunnarsö offers beautiful surroundings such as cliffs and a small sandy beach. There is also a jetty and a diving tower up to 10 metres for those who are brave as well as a kiosk and restaurant if you by any chance get hungry. For those of you who like adventures, there is adventure and billiard golf with views of the sea. A disabled ramp is also available in the swimming area.

Havslätt

Havslätt offers a sandy beach where you can be creative and build sand castles, a jetty with a diving tower that consists of different heights, and a playground for children of all ages. If you like activities, there is mini-golf and a beach volleyball court where you can challenge your family and friends, and you can enjoy an ice cream or coffee at Havslätts Strandbistro. A disabled ramp is available out into the water.

Fallebo gård

Fallebo Gård enjoys a scenic location by Havslätt exercise area. Today, the farm has hens, the miniature pig Pelle, guinea pigs, horses, rabbits and sheep. The farm is open to visitors who are free to wander in the pastures and on the footpath. There is an information board at the farm showing the pastures and footpaths.

Stensjö by

Stensjö By will take you a long way back in time. A landscape shaped by centuries of haymaking and grazing that is still managed partly in the traditional way. There are sheep, horses, cows, hens and pigs in the pastures for you to visit! The setting was used for the Astrid Lindgren films about the Children of Noisy Village. Many of the scenes were shot directly in the village or on the roads around the village. A perfect place to visit with a packed hamper. There is a nice lake by the village that is perfect for a swim.

Skating

At Arena Oskarshamn, the football pitch is turned into a bandy rink in the winter, and there’s plenty of time for the public to skate. The ice rink at Be-Ge Hockey Center also has times for the public to skate. Bring your skates and helmet and you can skate as much as you like. There are also aids for those who would like to learn to skate and goals for those who want to play ice hockey or bandy.

Hjortberget

Hjortberget is a centrally located ski facility in Oskarshamn with ski hire for downhill skiing. In the winter, the slope is filled with snow from the snow cannons and there is a lift to take you up the slope. Naturally, there is also space for sledges and toboggans and other fun on the slope. A barbecue area is available if you fancy a classic hot dog to top up your energy levels.
