A hotel stay with a view of the sea, relaxation in the spa, and dinner in the popular evening restaurant? At Best Western Hotel Corallen, you’ll find everything you could wish for, all year round. And now the spa is being expanded with a large lounge area and an additional indoor pool.
SOUNDS OF THE WAVES. With its unique location right by the water, Hotel Corallen offers an unbeatable view of the Blå Jungfrun (Blue Virgin) island. The locals in Oskarshamn also appreciate the facility and many choose to staycation here on weekends. Much of that is thanks to Corallen’s Relax, which was completely renovated in 2021.
During the renovation, an indoor jacuzzi and a sauna with panoramic glass facing the sea were added. This means there are four different types of saunas and three pools – two of which are heated – in the spa. In the summer of 2024, the hotel and spa will be connected, with a larger, enclosed lounge area.
“We want to create a nice bar area where guests can enjoy a glass of wine and perhaps a light lunch. In the second phase, after the summer, we will build another indoor pool, with a large terrace around it. Our goal is to create a really lovely ‘pool club’,” says hotel manager Sofia Ekh.
Evening service
Recently, Hotel Corallen invested in its facilities. Just before the turn of the year, an additional ten rooms were renovated. In 2022, the number of seats in the restaurant was increased when the outdoor terrace was renovated.
“The restaurant is open for evening service every day of the week, with the option for take away. Pre-booked lunches and various packages are also available. Be sure to keep an eye on @hotelcorallen on Instagram,” says Sofia Ekh.
